70% of the world drink Arabica coffee which is mild and aromatic, but 30% drink Robusta which is more bitter but has 50% more caffeine in it.

Caffeine works by blocking a receptor that is normally bound by a chemical called adenosine that calms down nerve cell firing and prepares the body for sleep. This blockage causes an increase in brain activity that’s detected by the pituitary gland (which sits at the bottom of your brain) starting a “fight or flight” response producing adrenaline. This is one of the ways in which Caffeine “perks you up” it also stimulates dopamine production.
