      Anything that can explode. Nitroglycerin is a good start.

      Dopamine: the neurotransmitter associated with pleasure and reward. This will make me sound like a total hippy, but I think sometimes it’s important to remember that happiness is derived from a chemical you produce yourself and not something dependent on other people and things

      A bit of an obvious one from me but DNA is my favourite chemical in the world. It has fascinated me since a teenager and I still work with it in one way or another every day.

      An extraordinary molecule used by all known living organisms to encode (essentially) life.
