Right now I’m publishing scientific papers on two cases of haemoglobinopathy caused by rare, weird genetic mutations that means in one case the person has extra copies of some of their genes, and in the other case some of their haemoglobin making genes are missing, and the rest are the wrong way around!
We’ve recently discovered a number of genes that are involved in regulating the activity of signalling between nerves and also a group of genes that play a role in the formation of taste memory.
