I always wanted to teach science to other people. I never wanted to actually be a scientist myself. Sadly it’s a requirement to teach at universities. I’m doing this as a means to an end.

I was always interested in science. For a while I thought I would like to be a psychologist because I was fascinated by brains, but when I started looking at different degrees I could do, I realised that all the bits I thought were interesting about psychology were actually neuroscience, so I did a degree in that instead. From there I worked in some different projects and gradually moved into the field of genetics/bioinformatics, which I have found that I like even more!
