      As an individual I am afraid there isn’t much you can do aside from becoming a politician and forcing everyone else to

      – stop driving gasoline vehicles
      – stop all coal power plants
      – stop heating with gas
      – install solar panels everywhere
      – build more nuclear power plants

      Also not my field, but over time we need to reduce our reliance on chemicals that damage the stratosphere. It takes decades or longer for these systems to repair, for example the holes in the Ozone layer were postulated to take something like 60 years to repair if we dramatically reduced using CFCs immediately. In 2012 the Ozone hole was still around 7 million square miles big.
