      I do not exclude the possibility of there being a higher being than us.
      But I do not know for sure and until then my answer is “I do now know if god exists”.

      If there is a being higher than us then I still believe that it has no desire to communicate with us and we are too dumb to understand it, so we will probably never know for sure.

      No. If I saw any evidence that God was real I would happily believe in it, but none has turned up so far.

      There are plenty of scientists I know who do, which must annoy Richard Dawkins no end. Don’t feel like you have to be atheist to be a scientist that’s not the case at all.
